Introducing ActiveCheck — When “Just a Checklist” Isn’t Just a Checklist

What started as a simple customer request turned into something much bigger than we ever expected.

It Started With a Problem No One Else Wanted to Solve

Many years ago, one of our customers came to us with what sounded like a straightforward ask:

“Could you build us an electronic checklist?”

Then came the fine print.

It needed to handle multiple checklists at once. It had to work offline. It needed to be extremely flexible.

And these weren’t small checklists. Not 10 questions. Not 50. Not even 100. We’re talking hundreds and hundreds of questions — constantly changing, evolving, and growing.

At the time, we were honest. Yes, it was technically possible… but it wasn’t economically viable. Building something that complex for a single customer just didn’t make sense. And more importantly, there was nothing on the market that could handle that level of complexity without falling apart.

So we parked the idea.

Then It Kept Coming Back

A few years later, another customer asked for something almost identical.

Then another. And another.

Different industries. Different use cases. Same underlying problem.

That’s when it clicked: this wasn’t a one-off edge case. This was a common, unmet need — and people were forcing spreadsheets, paper, and rigid tools to do jobs they were never designed for.

Fast Forward to Today

Today, we believe we’ve answered those questions.

The flexibility. The offline capability. The ability to handle complex, evolving checklists at scale.

And this time, it’s affordable.

Even better, the power required by those early customers pushed us to build something far more adaptable than we originally planned. ActiveCheck isn’t just for one industry or one workflow — it’s a foundation that can flex into many different tasks we’re only just beginning to explore.
